| How to take delivery of your vehicle(s) |
Dear valued client,
Thank you very much for the opportunity to assist you in transporting your vehicle(s).
We at 24-7 Auto Transport, Inc. (Broker) strive to provide highly satisfactory vehicle transport services. To that end, we have
sent you the following helpful points and recommendations.
You should have received the transport schedule from the shipping party (pick up contact person) and/or 24-7 Auto Transport, Inc. (if we have your email address)
on the day the vehicle is picked up. Otherwise, contact our office for an update. Keep in mind that due to unforeseen events during the transport
such as road closures, transporter-truck mechanical failure, possible driver personal emergency, the schedule is on a "best effort" basis and not precise.
Please contact our office a day before the ETA for a better update.
Please observe the following in order to have a smooth delivery experience when you receive your vehicle(s).
|
- Drivers are instructed to call several hours before ETA to arrange time and location of delivery, although this not always possible.
Driver may call within shorter window of time before ETA.
- When driver calls, arrange to receive your vehicle during daylight hours if at all possible. Sometimes, to maintain his schedule,
a driver may ask to deliver the vehicle late in the evening or at night. Unless you agree with his schedule, you do not have to comply with it.
Let him know that you must inspect the vehicle during the daylight.
- If drop off address is not suitable for large transporter-trucks to approach, pre-select a suitable location nearby (i.e. large shopping center)
and tell driver where to stop when he calls to arrange drop off. These transporter-trucks cannot go onto narrow, dead-end or gravel roads.
Low lying trees, wires and low bridges will damage tops of the cars on these transporter-trucks.
- Driver must provide a copy of the inspection sheet he should have generated at pick up location/time.
- Stay clear of the transporter-truck and your vehicle while it is being unloaded.
- Begin your inspection only after driver has unloaded your vehicle and parked it in a safe spot nearby.
- Make sure to inspect the vehicle for possible damage and/or missing pre-declared items. Annotate the inspection sheet BEFORE signing it.
Point out your concerns to driver. If you have a camera take clear pictures of any damaged areas.
Contact 24-7 Auto Transport, Inc. dispatch @ (800) 247-2478 to report any damage or discrepancies before
you sign off on the inspection sheet and before driver leaves (Leave a voice mail if necessary). Email copy of the pictures to 247auto@gmail.com
- Make sure driver prints his name and signs the inspection sheet before you accept a copy of it.
- Damage or missing-items claim(s) reported after you and/or your representative sign the inspection sheet are not legally binding.
Declaration:
- All damage claims will be investigated and if justified, the insurance company will be notified to follow up.
Driver/Transporter ( not the Broker ) is solely responsible for any/all damages and/or loss caused by driver's error or negligence during transport.
"Force Major" events such as hail storm, flood, social unrest, war, etc are not covered by the cargo insurance of the transporter-truck.
As such neither the driver/transporter nor the Broker is responsible for any consequences of such events.
- Mechanical failure of your vehicle or damage caused by other than driver's error or negligence during transport is not driver's fault or responsibility.
We recommend you contact your vehicle insurance company to obtain additional coverage for the duration of the transport.
